betflikth99 Jacksonville Jaguars set to push Dean Brenton Strange into first-string position following Evan Engram’s departure

Brenton Strange is ready to become the Jacksonville Jaguars’ number one wide receiver after the former 2023 second-round draft pick played as Evan Engram’s backup for the past two seasons before the 30-year-old signed with the Denver Broncos this offseason, NFL Network reports. betflikth99

‘I’m definitely ready,’ Strange said. ‘I’ve got a lot of self-confidence, and I’ve always had a lot of self-confidence. I’ve always felt like I was one of the best players on the pitch. I feel like that’s the attitude I have.’ 

Strange played a lot of time last season because of Engram’s injury problems, starting 10 times before finishing third on the team. He caught 40 passes, seven behind Engram, for 411 yards and two touchdowns, behind only rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. 

Strange currently forms part of a winger room with Johnny Mundt, Hunter Long and Quintin Morris, none of whom have shown as much ability to receive the ball as Strange has throughout their careers, with the latter three averaging just 31 receptions in 2024. 

Strange also set his sights on further development in his third professional year, saying, “I definitely think I have room to grow. I have room everywhere, not just as a pass-catcher, but as a blocker, as a leader on the team. I have room to grow. I’m excited about that. It’s going to be a challenge, but I’m up for it. I know I’m capable.”

When you block, like go out and force people to do what you want and you do it over and over again, eventually they’ll break down.
