Fifth-round rookie quarterback Shedoua Sanders says the atmosphere in the Cleveland Browns quarterback room is positive, and that despite the competition, everyone is united, NFL Network reports. baconclub66

‘Everybody is fine,’ Sanders said. ‘Outside the room, people are trying to make us rivals, but inside the room, we know we’re united.’ 

Deshaun Watson’s torn Achilles tendon will keep him out of the 2025 season, leading the Browns to trade for Kenny Pickett from the Philadelphia Eagles, re-sign Joe Flacco, and select rookie quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Sanders in the third and fifth rounds of the draft, respectively.

All four quarterbacks will compete for a spot on the roster, with the possibility that either veterans Flacco or Pickett will be released or traded away if they fail to secure a starting spot. 

Sanders believes the mix of different ages and playing styles will also benefit a diverse quarterback room.

“We all have different personalities. It’s fun to go out there and see Joe every day. It’s fun to see him because I’m like, ‘Wow, I’m with Joe Flacco now. We’re on the same team,'” Sanders said.

‘Obviously with Kenny, the experience he’s had in the league over the years, it’s cool to see the process of it. And obviously DeShaun, he’s been involved there, he’s been in all the meetings, so it’s cool to talk to him.’ ( baconclub66 )
