ESPN reports that the pair previously worked together at the LA Lakers during 2021-22, their final season as the ‘Purple-Gold’. 

Fizdale is the latest addition to Vogel’s staff, joining Kevin Young, who is reportedly the league’s highest-paid assistant head coach. 

The 48-year-old David has been in Utah for less than a full year, having coached the Memphis Grizzlies and New York Knicks before moving into management, where he went a disappointing 71-134 over his four years.
