At Terminal Hall Stadium, Terminal 21 Korat Shopping Center, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, the 2024 ASEAN Futsal Championship, Group A, match 4, Thai futsal team will face Vietnam.

In the first three games, Thailand and Vietnam have won consecutively and are already through to the semi-finals. Thailand has a better goal difference and if they draw, they will immediately become group champions.

In this game, head coach Miguel Rodrigo sent the first 5 players as Charoenphong Prasansat (GK), Teeraphat Muensri, Piyawat Petchnoi, Narongsak Wingwon (C) and Thedsak Charoenphong. 

The game started in the 5th minute and Thailand took the lead 1-0. Thedsak Charoenphong passed the ball in front of the goal before it deflected off Nguyen Thinh Phat into his own net.

In the 10th minute, Thailand had a chance to score another goal from a kick-in. Thanachot Saosaewang lifted the ball to Thanawat Kerdbangrachan, who volleyed with his left foot, but the ball hit the crossbar and bounced out.

In the 12th minute, Vietnam equalized to 1-1 from a corner kick, before the ball reached Pham Duc Hoa who shot with his right foot into the goal.

In the 16th minute, Thailand had another chance to take the lead. Piyawat Petchnoi passed the ball to Thedsak Charoenphong, who shot from a distance with his right foot, but the ball was saved by Vietnamese goalkeeper Pham Van Thu. After that, there were no more scores. The first half ended with Thai futsal still tied with Vietnam 1-1.

In the second half, in the 27th minute, Thailand had a chance to take the lead. Peerapat Kaewwilai shot with his left foot, but the ball was saved by Vietnamese goalkeeper Pham Van Thu.

In the 31st minute, Thailand took the lead again, making it 2-1. Ammarin Ekaphan passed the ball to Thanachot Saosaewang, who shot with his right foot into the net.

In the 34th minute, Vietnam equalized again to make it 2-2 from a right-footed shot from Dinh Cong Vien in front of the goal.

Then in the 35th minute, Vietnam took the lead for the first time in the game, 3-2, from a shot by Dinh Cong Vien, and it was his second goal of the game. 

The game ended with Thailand losing to Vietnam 2-3, finishing as runners-up of Group A and facing Indonesia, the winner of Group B, in the semi-finals. Vietnam, the winner of Group A, will face Australia, the runners-up of Group B. In another match in the same group, Malaysia defeated Timor-Leste 2-0.
