pony88 Suea Kim Sor.Jor.Tong Prachin, a 29-year-old fighter from Chanthaburi, is making his debut on the ONE stage with a knockout of his Turkish opponent, 27-year-old Zafer Sayik, in a Muay Thai bantamweight (135-145 lbs) bout at ONE Fight Night 34 this Saturday, August 2. pony88
Suea Kim, a fighter who had previously decided to turn his back on the world of boxing, decided to return to the ring at the invitation of Chatri Sityodtong. Despite losing two of his first three fights by knockout, Suea Kim did not give up and returned to training hard. He was able to return to collect four consecutive victories and successfully secured a ONE contract, becoming the 26th fighter on the promotion, at ONE Lumpinee 100 in March.
On the occasion of the two-year anniversary of his return to the ring, Suea Kim revealed, “It’s been two years since I’ve fought in ONE Lumpinee. Time has flown by so quickly. During my time on the show, my life has changed a lot, especially the bonuses I’ve received, which total over 2 million baht. I used to be in debt for millions and had to live in someone else’s house. Now, I’ve paid off all my debts, am renting my own house, and just bought a new car.”
“I’m very proud to have signed with ONE. I once retired from boxing, but I’ve returned to fighting and made it this far. That alone is beyond my wildest dreams. Regarding my last fight, I said on stage that I wanted a house because I’ve never owned a house in my entire life. So, I’m hoping to win the ONE Fight Night bonus and use it as capital to build a house for my family.”
This fight, which will be his first on the ONE stage, will require some adjustments to his training. However, everything will go well thanks to two champions who will provide intensive training and constantly stoke his passion: Prajanchai PK.Saenchai, the reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion (115-125 lbs.), and Tawanchai PK.Saenchai, the reigning ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion (145-155 lbs.).
“I trained harder than ever for this fight, as it was a major event. The additional training included kicking and weight training. Most importantly, I got to train with Tawanchai and Prachanchai, who advised me not to be complacent and constantly reminded me to fight as well as I did in training. This was a huge motivation, as I saw how they trained to become champions. I want to follow that path as well.”
Safir’s opponent is a remarkable contender, a 13-time Turkish kickboxing champion and multiple European champions. However, his past two ONE appearances have been less than ideal, losing unanimously to Vladimir Kuzmin of Russia and Yohan Estupinan of Colombia. This time, he hopes to defeat the in-form fighter Sueakim and unlock his first victory on the global stage.
“I admit I felt a little pressure against Safir this time, as I had to move up to a higher weight class. His strengths are his physicality and powerful striking, but his weakness is his slowness. I think this will help me read his game and understand the timing of his attacks more easily.”
pony88 “Although Safir has lost two fights in a row, I will never be complacent. I will fight to the best of my ability, using my fists and elbows as my primary weapons. I want to make my debut as impressive as possible. A win in this fight will be a huge motivation for me to keep going.” ( pony88 )
