mungme168The Portland Trail Blazers franchise has guaranteed a contract for the 2025-26 season for Doyop Reeth as a rotational backup.

HoopsHype reports that Reeth’s $2.22 million contract was included in Portland’s new season roster after Friday’s deadline, but it’s only a small percentage of the team’s total. 

Over the past two years, he has played for Portland, averaging 9.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.6 blocks, shooting 35.9% from long range during his rookie season. 

But last year, his role was limited, from getting 17.9 minutes per game across 68 games in 2023-24, to 10.2 minutes per game across 46 games when he had to share playing time with rookie center Donovan Clingan. 

The new season situation is believed to be Clingan will step into the starting center position in place of DeAndre Eaton, who was bought out by the LA Lakers. 

But that doesn’t mean Reeth will have an increased role as the team has also drafted Chinese player Yang Hansheng to be another center , and Robert Williams III is ready to squeeze in game time if he’s healthy.  mungme168
